Chinese geological survey vessel completes 16th deep-sea expedition #coolchina

Chinese research vessel Haiyang Dizhi-6 (Ocean Geology-6) recently completed its 16th deep-sea geological survey expedition, achieving multiple results in the survey of deep-sea geological environments as well as the development and application of key marine exploration technologies, the China Geological Survey (CGS) of the Ministry of Natural Resources said on Monday. During the expedition, the scientific team employed a variety of geological survey methods to collect valuable first-hand data and samples, including polymetallic nodules, seabed rocks and bottom-layer seawater. #sea #survey #geology
