I Will Love To See Thomas Partey Join Arsenal, Says Ghana Winger Edwin Gyasi

Ghana and CSKA Sofia winger, Edwin Gyasi has urged fellow countryman, Thomas Partey to join Arsenal.

Partey, 26, has been strongly linked to Arsenal this summer.

The Ghana midfielder is also a target for Manchester United, AS Roma and Inter Milan.

However, according to Gyasi, Partey has the qualities to play for every top European club but has urged him to join the Gunners.

“I think with his class of play, he [Thomas Partey] can play for every club,” he told Samuel Ekow Amoasi Appiah in an exclusive interview.

“He is that kind of player you will love to have in your team. He can attack and he can also defend.

“Partey can play for all of these teams but personally, I will love to see him play for Arsenal because I Arsenal is my favourite club,” he added.

Partey currently has €50 million (£47m) release clause in his contract.

Chelsea and Liverpool have also joined the race for Partey’s signature.

Atletico Madrid are well aware of the interest, as are Partey’s representatives so is Partey’s father.

Speaking on the Ghana-based radio station Tru FM, Jacob Partey said: "I called my son after hearing the rumours and he told me that the rumours are true. He told me they are holding talks between him and Arsenal. It all depends on the offer Atletico are demanding.

"If he goes to Arsenal, fine, they have a lot of supporters in Ghana. I will be happy if he decides to move to Arsenal. What they are discussing now is how Atletico will release him."

Partey has been one of the consistent performers for Los Rojiblancos, making 31 appearances in all competitions thus far.
