WordDigest: Awaiting God's glory (9) Speak not against God

"His wife said to him, "Are you still trying to be godly when God has done all this to you? Curse him and die." But he replied, "You talk like some heathen woman. What? Shall we receive only pleasant things from the hand of God and never anything unpleasant?" So in all this Job said nothing wrong"

[Job 2:9-10]
Living Bible
Hopelessness blinds the eyes of children of God especially when they are in a mess.

Sometimes we are being tested through trials.

Satan went out from the presence of God and struck Job with an excruciating case of boils over his (Job's) body.

Job's wife thought it was a punishment but in God's wisdom her husband's loyalty and faithfulness were tested.

Job didn't adhere to the advice of his wife neither friends who initially wanted him to curse or speak against God.

In lieu of that he hoped in God and with faith boldly said there was nothing wrong though on the evidence of boils and lost of his properties.

Sometimes when we encounter trials let's screen the voices from people around us.

When not carefully done, it can sour one's relationship with God.

In all things speak not against God but rather rejoice believing that God is using these trial moments to bring you glory.

It is well in Jesus' name, Amen.

Prayer
O God thank you for life and working for my good. I may not see it but still trusting in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.
