Opuni Frimpong and Frimpong Manso must tread cautiously

Politicians make campaign promises that they know they cannot fulfill and still get away with it.

Politicians tell lies about their opponents and also make allegations that they cannot substantiate. They get way with both.

Politicians steal millions of government money and are treated with kids gloves or may even get away with it.

The electorate who put the politicians in office have until the next elections to either kick them out of office or maintain them.

If security personnel get angry, stage a coup and thereby disrupt the wheels of the democratic process in a democratic country, they would have breached the Constitution of the land.

But if the people of the land are able to endure the lies, the corrupt practices, and sometimes the atrocities of the elected politicians, the decision of maintaining or kicking out the evil politicians will still be the constitutional right of the people.

The business of the kingdom of God is neither a democracy nor a dictatorship. It is a theocracy and the Christian Bible is the Constitution that guides this kind of government.

Let us therefore look for answers to kingdom business from the Bible (Constitution) instead of asking for a restrictive bondage from the worldly system.

Yes, pastors who get paid must pay their taxes.
Yes, Churches which do business must pay their corporate taxes.

But to appeal to the worldly system to come in and control the biblical mode of worship and regulate the activities of men and women of God is unscriptural.

Therefore Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong and Rev. Professor Frimpong Manso must tread cautiously while dancing to the tune of politicians who have been advocating for governmental control.

Yes, there are false prophets, false pastors, and religious charlatans in the land.

But what did Jesus Christ and Apostle Paul teach concerning them?

In the parable which deals with the issue of tares (tares resemble wheat and symbolize false teaching) being secretly planted among the wheat, the servants who saw what had been done wanted to uproot the tares.

But what was their master’s response?
“But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” (Matthew 13:29-30. NKJV).

The discretion here is with the master (God).
Jesus mentioned false prophets in His teachings.
In Matthew 24:11-13, Jesus said, “Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” (NKJV.)

Yes, “he who endures to the end shall be saved.”

The discretion here is with the believer.
And what did the Apostle Paul say in the book of Philippians?

“Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill: the former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.” (Philippians 1:15-18. NKJV).

We don’t need the likes of Emperor Nero (who murdered Apostle Paul) in Ghana. Therefore don’t clamor for one.

And by the way who is going to regulate the fetish priests and the malams?

Proverbs 13:3 “He who guards his mouth preserves his life, but he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.”(NKJV).
