H.E. DR. Kwame Bawuah-Edusei hosted a Town Hall Meeting for the Ghanaian Community in the Washington Metro area at the Chancery of the Embassy on Friday 17th November 2006.

He disclosed that the Embassy will be playing a coordinating role regarding the year long programme announced by the government to mark the 50th independence anniversary. The Washington Mission, in consultation with the Ghanaian community and other groups, has also outlined a ten day programme to mark the occasion. Activities to be organized during the period include seminarworkshop, multi-cultural show, and trade and investment promotion. A full programme will be available in due course.
