Acting national Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay has cautioned the Electoral Commission (EC) against any attempt to disenfranchise eligible voters whose names were mistakenly deleted from the electoral roll as NHIS registrants

According to him, the party has enough evidence to support their widespread claim that most of their members in their strongholds who aren’t NHIS registrants were included on the deleted list.

He served notice that the NPP will resist any calculated attempt to disenfranchise its members at the 2016 polls.

Mr. Blay spoke to Citi News in Tamale where he kick started his two days working visit to the Northern Region.

He said the NPP is poised to win the 2016 elections and will not entertain any rigging ploy ahead of the December 7 polls.

Mr. Blay urged the party’s leadership and teeming supporters to rally behind Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo to lead them to victory.

The outspoken NPP Northern Regional Chairman, Daniel Bugri Naabu said the party targets 25 Parliamentary seats in the Northern Region.

He commended his team and constituency executives for their commitment to party activities and urged them to turn the heat on the NDC.

Daniel Bugri Naabu assured the Acting national Chairman of resounding victory in the Northern Region.

The NPP Acting national Chairman as part of activities lined up for his two days official visit is expected to interact with Parliamentary candidates, party supporters and also visit some of the EC’s exhibition centres in the Tamale central, Tamale north, Tamale south and Sagnarigu constituencies.
