Kwaku Manu, the suspect who butchered a 19-year-old girl for denying him sex has been arrested by the new Juaben Municipal Police command.
Manu was arrested at his hide out at a village on the Obour Tabiri Mountains in the Eastern region.
The suspect believed to be a 35-year-old destitute, was accommodated by the mother of the victim by providing him free accommodation for about eight months.
But Manu, who is a known drunkard is alleged to have been proposing and demanding sex from the victim in recent days.
The suspect requested to have sex with the victim on Friday but she refused which infuriated Manu leading him to inflict cutlass wounds on the girl.
The incident occurred at Agyeiwaa Lodge, a community in Koforidua at around 1am.
