IMES Launched To Boost Business In Ghana

Intelligent Metering and Energy Solutions (IMES), a Ghanaian-owned metering assembly company have launched its operations in Ghana with the aim of providing locally manufactured Smart Energy Meters and Energy Solutions to serve the growing demand of the Ministry of Power and Electricity Company of Ghana.

The event was to officially outdoor the brand since its inception in 2013.

The Managing Director of IMES, Mr. Fred Frimpong speaking at the opening said the company’s mission is not only to improve the efficiencies and productivity of their stakeholders, but also to provide quality, innovative and technologically advanced metering and energy solutions that is robust, affordable and easily deployed.

He said the concept of advanced metering infrastructure is a technology that is growing fast in the advanced countries and it shouldn’t come as a surprise for the good people of Ghana to benefit from its advantages.

Mr. Frimpong said his outfit would soon begin the assembling of smart energy meters to ECG for public use.

His Excellency the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama speaking at the launch commended IMES for the bold step they have taken to operate in the country and to create employment.

He urged all Ghanaians to patronize made-in-Ghana products and entreated the Chamber of Commerce and the AGI to work to together to transform Ghanaian entrepreneurs into manufacturers.

The Chairman of the launch, Mr. James Asare-Adjei, President of AGI also commended IMES for setting up their business against all odds.

He urged all manufacturers and service providers to aim at making products that offers high value for money and render quality services that could compete on the global market.
