NPP Must Ignore “Stomach Journalist” Ben Ephson – Obiri Boahene

Deputy General Secretary of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Obiri Boahene has described pollster Ben Ephson as a “stomach journalist” who must be ignored by members of the elephant family.

According to him, Mr Ephson’s public commentary and reportage on the party are inspired by malice and disdain for the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition.

The Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch Newspaper is on record to have faulted the NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo Addo for describing fellow party member Alan Kyerematen as troublesome in a recent party event at Kumasi in the Ashanti region.

The comment appears to have angered the deputy secretary of the elephant family who has told Sunyani-based Metro FM that Ephson and fellow journalist Kwesi Pratt are bent on destroying the reputation of the NPP.

“What does Ben Ephson take Ghanaians for, we must just ignore that mercenary journalist. That stomach journalist, don’t mind him. He and Kwesi Pratt are all the same, they are refusing to grow up.

“… Ben Ephson has never written anything good about the NPP, he must just be left alone to wallow in his infantile ways of doing things. We thought he was a good journalist until Anas and the rest showed up,” Boahene stated.
