Accra, Aug 31, GNA - The Board of Directors and Management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club have wished the senior national team, the Black Stars success in their impending World/Africa World Cup qualifier against Uganda on Sunday.
A statement signed by Mr Jarvis Peprah, Head of Public Affairs of the Club said Kotoko as an establishment, is proud to be associated with the Stars in fulfilling the desires of the general public.
It said it is the fervent hope that supporters of Kotoko will troop to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium from all parts of the country in their proverbial thousands to support the team to victory.
The Black Stars will on Sunday play the Cranes of Uganda in the penultimate round of matches in their joint World/Africa World Cup qualifier.
The Stars are currently placed first in their group on goal difference and need to win their two remaining matches against Uganda and Cape Verde in their group to qualify for the next World Cup scheduled for Germany.
