OCT 21, 2016 LISTEN

Avram Grant is refusing to dwell on the impasse between the Ghana FA and the Sports Ministry which has destabilized the team.

The federation and the sector minister have been at war since the start of the year and there are fears the feud could scuttle the country's 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign.

Grant wants to focus on the task ahead and not get bogged down by the fractious relationship between the two countries.

''You heard a lot of negative stories but there are also good stories surrounding Ghana and Africa and many good things that you can take example from them. There is a lot of passion in Ghana, very good people around,'' Grant said on Sky Sports.

''There is no doubt that if things off the pitch are like in Europe, the African teams can achieve a lot especially Ghana.

''I think it's some kind of big challenge to convince the people that things around is very important- Peace of mind to the players is very important but I say again there is a lot of good stories.

''I will not like the people to concentrate on the negative stories-I will not ignore it those things I don't like.

''I don't like the players bought their ticket [For the Rwanda AFCON qualifier] but it's a challenge.''

Grant is expected in the country next week to prepare for the crucial World Cup qualifier against Egypt in Alexandria on 13 November.
