Invited Black Stars players are expected to arrive in Ghana on Monday ahead of their 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda.

The players who have been notified by the Ghana federation, will touch base in their native country early next week.

Even though the squad has not been made public yet, a purported 24-man squad has been hugely speculated in the local media.

According to Kumasi-based Angel FM, Avram Grant has handed debut call-up to Sogndal midfielder Gilbert Koomson.

According to the credible radio station, injured Phil Ofosu Ayeh, Alfred Duncan and Juventus star Kwadwo Asamoah are to be replaced.

On-loan Al Ahli striker and team captain Asamoah Gyan makes a return to the squad after missing this month's matches against Rwanda and Russia.

Gyan will become the first player to touch base in the country when he arrives on Friday.

The Black Stars will start training in Tamale on Tuesday for the double assignments.
