Ghana Premier League side, Dreams Football Club has backed Kwesi Nyantekyi as he seeks to become a member of the FIFA Council.

The President of the Ghana Football Association, Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi has filed his nomination and has been cleared to contest for the upcoming FIFA Council election on Friday, September 30, 2016.

In line with this, Dreams FC has conveyed a solidarity message to the GFA President (Kwesi Nyantakyi):

“It is the firm belief of this football club that Ghana couldn’t have had a better candidate vying for one of the two slots allotted Africa to serve on the supervisory and strategic body of FIFA,” a letter signed by the Administrative Manager of Dreams FC (Ameenu Shadow) said.

“The interest of Ghana and African football as a whole, we believe strongly, will be best served with you as one of our representative amongst others serving in this capacity,” the statement added.

As a non-executive body, the FIFA Council sets the vision for the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) and global football.

The letter further assured Mr. Kwasi Nyantakyi of victory.

“As you go into Thursday’s elections, be rest assured that the thought and prayers of Dreams FC will be solidly behind you as we are sure the whole of Ghana will be.”

Dreams FC gained promotion to the Ghana Premier League in 2015 having topped Zone 3 of the GN Bank Division One League.

As a debutante in the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League, Dreams FC placed ninth on the league ladder with 40 points.
