Asante Kotoko sought after forward Dauda Mohammed has denied reports that he will be leaving the Porcupine Warriors as a free agent.

There have been viral media reports in the local media that the 19 year-old forward will be exiting the club as a free agent as his contract with the Kumasi-based giants has expired.

The budding forward rubbished those reports confirming that he has a year running contract at Kotoko.

'I have a year contract with Kotoko. I don't know where that story emanated from, I'm still a Kotoko player because my contract has not run out so Kotoko fans should disregard that.'

'As I'm speaking to you now, Kotoko management are finalizing my move to Anderlecht so how can I leave Kotoko as a free agent,' he quizzed.

The Black Satellites goal poacher also revealed the reason why he couldn't played the club's last two Premier League games (Medeama and WAFA).

'There have been a lot of misconstrue stories about me. Many people thought because I didn't play the last two Premier League games, I will be leaving the club. That is not the case. Prior to our league game against Medeama I fainted at training and I was sent to the hospital wher I was diagnosed with Malaria so I was given some days off. I'm not leaving Kotoko, I'm still a Kotoko player,' he concluded.

Dauda at the just ended Ghana Premier League season scored eight goals for Asante Kotoko.
