'The midfielder will begin his rehabilitation programme immediately and the timeframe for his return to action remains the same as originally estimated, namely around 45 days.'

Kwadwo Asamoah dealt with a host of injuries at Juventus last season and had a limited playing time.

Asamoah will also look to get fit for international duty as the FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the 2017 African Cup of Nations are coming up for the Black Stars.
