Ghana FA Cup champions Bechem United are close to signing Techiman City star Baba Mahama, according to reports in the local press.
The 19-year-old enjoyed an explosive debut season on the Ghanaian top-flight, scoring four goals in 25 appearances.
Last week the attacking midfielder, who is likened to Frank Lampard, put clubs on alert when he hinted he could leave the Techiman-based side.
Kotoko and Hearts are mentioned to be both interested in signing the promising starlet.
However according to fresh reports from the Brong Ahafo region, Bechem United who won the 2016 Ghana FA Cup, have already held negotiations with the officials of City and are close to reaching a deal to sign the teenager.
