Ghana needs top defensive back-ups to Baba Rahman and Harrison Afful

Avram Grant has work on his hands as Ghana has less than four months to look for world class back-ups to left back Baba Rahman and right back Harrison Afful.

The two have been the preferred left and right back choices for Avram Grant since he took office in December 2014.

Rahman who plays for Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga is yet to miss a game for Avram Grant and there is the feeling that he is getting very comfortable from the lack of competition.

Harriosn Afful plays with Columbus Crew in the MLS and has been with the team since 2008.

Grant has four months left on his contract and there is the feeling that he will not renew his contract after the Africa Cup of Nations.

Turkey based Samuel Inkoom has been in top shape while Phil Ofosu-Ayeh has flirted with the team in recent times.

Jeffrey Schlupp can play at Left back although these days he is used as a left winger at club.
