Ghana midfielder Bernard Mensah is in good condition to play his first match for Vitoria Guimaraes on Friday against Pacos Ferreira in the Primeira Liga.
Mensah, who is on loan from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, started training with his teammates on Monday.
He has done a lot of work to convince head coach Pedro Martins about his fitness level.
Two seasons ago, Mensah scored five goals in 30 league appearances for Vitoria Guimaraes before his transfer to Spain.
He was on a season-long move at Getafe last term where he managed just eight La Liga matches.
