Germany international, Bastian Schweinsteiger has said that Manchester United will be the last club he plays for in Europe.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, he said that the Manchester Club was the “only one which could make me leave FC Bayern München” and that  he “will be ready if the team needs me.”

The World Cup winner signed for the Red Devils last summer from Bayern Munich and had a mixed season which was disrupted by injury.

Schweinsteiger has been frozen out of the first-team this season by new boss Jose Mourinho, who has publicly suggested that the German is not part of his plans for the season.

He has been forced to train with the development team, a situation which caused a member of player union, FIFPro to say that Mourinho deserved to be arrested.

The statement from Schweinsteiger has probably put any potential move back to the Bavarians, who have said they would welcome him back to the club, on hold.

However, clubs in the MLS, the Middle East and China might consider making a move for the talented midfielder
