AUG 23, 2016 LISTEN

Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan is likely to make a shock return to English football according to reports from Skysports.

English Championship side Fulham have emerged as front runners for the veteran striker with a loan move the most likely option.

Gyan made a big money move to Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG but has only managed 20 appearances through 2 seasons due to numerous injury concerns but has scored 7 goals for the club.

The arrival of Brazilian striker Hulk for a record fee of 55 million euros means that Gyan now faces stiff competition for playing time with manager Sven Goran Eriksson believed to prefer the Brazilian.

Gyan who is currently back home in Ghana was spotted in the company British High Commissioner to Ghana John Benjamin, who dropped a hint via his twitter handle.

The Black Stars skipper endured a successful first stint in English football with Sunderland under Steve Bruce where he scored 10 goals in 34 appearances for the Black Cats.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic is keen on augmenting his squad before the transfer window shuts but will face competition from Turkish power house Besiktas who are yet to make an official approach.
