AUG 19, 2016 LISTEN

Former African best player and Kotoko legend Abdul Razak has advised Ghanaian players to double up their training if they want to succeed in Europe.

For the past years, number of Ghanaian footballers such as Samuel Yeboah, Frank Sarfo, Daniel Agyei, Fatau Dauda and among others have all had their respective contracts terminated after failing to meet the standard Europe.

But in the view of Razak, in order for Ghanaian players to make it big in Europe, they should double up their performance so that the aforementioned situation can be averted.

'The foreign clubs have good players and they expect you from another country to be better than what they have. So they know you are in to help them than to equal what they have.

"So you (players) need to double up, that is train when there is no training. Because you are not there to sleep', he told Starr FM.

Razak coached Kotoko in 2003 to win the Ghana Premier League.
