The deputy operations manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Ali Maradona has sent an unqualified apology on behalf of the entire Kotoko Management team to Dr. Kwaku Frimpong commonly known in football circles as[ Champion] of Champions divine clinic, amid allegations that he ‘champion’ had given an amount of GHC10,000 to chairman Kwaku Amponsah who is the club’s national circles chairman to stage a massive demonstration against the current management.
Ali on Kumasi based Angel FM said‘ ”I want to apologize to champion who has over the years supported our club immensely .we ask for his forgiveness for all our wrong doings”.
Ali also revealed that it was him who personally called champion to run the affairs of Kotoko as he deemed it was his time.
”I was the first person to tell Champion on phone to take over Kotoko, it was time for him to steer the affairs of the club he had hugely contributed financially to’. He added.
