Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has sharply denied 'fabricated' reports claiming he habours political ambitions after his football career.

'Concocted' quotes attributed to Ghana's second vice captain claims he plans to enter into active politics after he hangs his boots.

But the Udinese star has sharply rejected the reports and branding the story as complete fabrication, devised to deceive the public.

"I've not granted an interview to anyone about my future plans after football. I have been here with my club in Austria for the past three weeks after I reported for pre-season," he told GHANAsoccernet.com in an exclusive chat.

"I have never harboured any such political ambitions. I have dreams of working in football after I end my active playing career. Politics is not my style.

Whoever did the story cooked the quotes in the story. I never granted an interview to anyone and I would plead with the reading public to disregard the story."

Badu becomes the second Ghana national team player to be linked with politics in recent times after Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan was mentioned by a radio journalist to be associated with Ghana's leading opposition party NPP.

The Shanghai SIPG star has referred the matter to a law court in Ghana where he is seeking redress.

Badu has not declared any intentions of bringing legal action against the media house which carried the story.
