Liberty Professionals star Latif Blessing has debunked reports claiming he says he is better than Aduana Stars striker Yaya Mohammed, insisting those reports are false and in bad taste.
According to the young attacker, he has never said it on any platform that he is better than Yaya and that those reports appear to push him against a player he has admired for a long time.
Speaking to Ghanasoccernet.com on the reports circulating in the Ghanaian media, Latif Blessing said Yaya Mohammed has been a great inspirer to his career and will not in any way speak of being superior to him (Yaya).
"It is not true that I said I am better than Yaya Mohammed. I have never said that I am better than him (Yaya). He is my senior in football and a very experienced player as well," he said.
"He is my mentor and I respect him. But i also have to try to be better so that i will get to his level.
"So I only said I admire his style of play and for that matter but described myself as one of the best players in the league,". he added.
Blessing is a joint top-scorer with Yaya Mohammed on 13 goals after 22 matches in the Ghana Premier League.
