Malaga and Fenerbahce are lurking to sign Las Palmas target Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The 29-year-old is a free agent after ending his short-loan contract at AC Milan.

The Ghana international failed to make the grade after persistent injuries robbed him off the chance to impress.

The former Schalke outcast is believed to be nearing a switch to Spanish side Las Palmas amid widespread rumours he could sign by the close of next week.

But Sky Italia are reporting on Friday that fellow Spanish side Malaga and Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce are understood to be monitoring the situation.

Fenerbahce are currently involved in the qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League - a situation Boateng is monitoring before deciding on his future.
