President of New Edubiase United Abdul Salam Yakubu has tipped his side to beat Asante Kotoko ahead of their matchday 22 game of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League at the Nana Gyamfi Park in Bekwai today.
Speaking on Asempa [94.7] FM’s Ultimate Morning Show on Wednesday, July 27 Mr. Salam Yakubu said, “I am confident victory will be ours because we are well prepared for this match.”
“There is no way Kotoko can pick a point here because our position on the league table is not encouraging at all and I think we need to pick the three points for us to climb up,” he added.
The President of the Bekwai based club, however, reckoned that the Porcupine Warriors will go into the game as the wounded lions having taken just two points from their last three games.
“Our fans were very expectant in our first home game against Hasaacas but the players’ performance on the day was quite disappointing and I’m sure they would like to make amends this afternoon,” he noted.
New Edubiase United is currently rooted at the bottom of the league ladder with 18 points whiles Asante Kotoko is fourth with 33 points.
