JUL 26, 2016 LISTEN

Hans Van Der Pluijm is waxing lyrical that his team, Young Africans will beat his former club Medeama at the Sekondi stadium on Tuesday in the CAF Confederation Cup group match.

Van Der Pluijm has watched on helplessly as his team got stacked at bottom from their first group game to their pending fourth match in Sekondi. The Tanzanian league champions have one point, which they managed to earn at home in their 1-1 draw with Medeama.

The bad run of results is not deterring Van Der Pluijm from making audacious predictions ahead of the match. The Dutchman has great knowledge and experience in Ghana football with his long years stay in the country with Feyenoord Academy (now WAFA), Heart of Lions, Berekum Chelsea and Medeama.

That probably could be a major source of his tenacity and Van Der Pluijm is ready to fight till the end knowing this is football.

"Did you look at the European Championship? Every team analyses every team. You don't think that France had analysed Portugal very well? That is football, in football everything can happen. Football is ninety minutes and I am not bragging that we are going to beat them here but I shall tell you, we are not here to participate but we are here to conquer."

He reiterated his poin saying:
"What do you think? We are not here to participate. We will do everything possible to get three points but in football everything is possible." SEE ALSO: Kotoko game not a title decider

Van Der Pluijm asserts that the match will be classic and went on to explain how either side can win.

"This will be a classic match from who will win the most of the duels and who will hold the ball the best and that you are calm on the ball. That is most important that you possess very well and the right moment you try to take the chances. That is not what we did, we created three, four chances in Der es Salaam but we didn't take our chances.

"Medeama have a good team. They have a strong defense, they have a strong midfield and they have good attackers but my team is also good.'
