League Report Kotoko chief Ali Maradona reveals Porcupine Warriors will help Wa All Stars to win Ghana Premier League
JUL 25, 2016 LISTEN

Asante Kotoko's deputy Operations Manager Alhaji Ali Maradona has revealed his outfit's intention to aid Wa All Stars to win the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League at the expense of their sworn rivals Hearts of Oak.

To him, it will be disastrous for the Porcupine Warriors to watch in as the Phobians win their twentieth league title to close the title gap hence the plan to aid Wa All Stars to clinch the ultimate.

'There are nine matches to go. If Kotoko cannot win the league, we will work against Hearts," Ali Maradona said.

"We will work for Wa All Stars because they also have what it takes. Look at what happened in England, Leicester City winning the league. No one ever imagined it."

"We [Kotoko] will ensure Hearts do not taste league glory', he told Class Sports.

With nine league matches to end the season, Kotoko are sitting fourth on the table, five points behind the Phobians.

And following their 1-1 stalemate with Hearts on Sunday July 24, Ali Mardona insists if Kotoko cannot win the league, then they will rather assist Wa All Stars to win it rather than watch their rivals Hearts emerge as champions.

As to how Kotoko can aid Wa All Stars to clinch the title, Ali Maradona did not reveal it in the interview.

Wa All Stars will be winning the league for the first time since gaining promotion into the Ghana Premier League close to a decade ago.
