Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri confirmed that the club are in talks with a club over the sale of Manchester United target Paul Pogba.

The France international was the subject of a £85m bid from United with Sky in Italy revealing Pogba has already agreed personal terms with his former club.

Juventus and United manager Jose Mourinho have refused to confirm whether United are interested in signing the 23-year-old, but Allegri did admit the club were in transfer negotiations.

“Pogba is a Juventus player at the moment but we don’t know what is going to happen,” Allegri told reporters ahead of his side’s pre-season clash with Melbourne Victory. “The club are looking after negotiations.

“Marko Pjaca is another quality addition for us so whatever happens with Pogba, we will be in good shape.”

United have already spent big this summer with the acquisitions of Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan while striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic arrived from Paris Saint-Germain on a free.

However, Mourinho did reveal that there was at least one more piece of business to do before the closure of the window.

“Everybody speaks about one, but it wouldn’t be a surprise for me if it is not him and it is another one because we went for profile.

“We have two more options in front of us and we are going to close one.”

United are currently in China for pre-season, beginning their tour with a 4-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the opening match of the International Champions Cup in Shanghai.
