JUL 22, 2016 LISTEN

Ghanaian international Bennard Kumordzi was sent off while in action for KRC Genk in the Uefa Europa League on Thursday.

The 31-year-old versatile midfielder was marched off by referee Kalogeropoulos in the 74th minute at the Stadion Pod Goricom after he fouled midfielder Djalovic in a heated confrontation.

Genk almost went the same way as their 2-0 first-leg lead was wiped out at Budućnost Podgorica, Radomir Djalović scoring inside the first 60 seconds. The Belgian side were reduced to ten men on 74 minutes but held on and won it on penalties.

Kumordzi will miss Genk's third round qualifying clash with Irish side Cork City.
