Match Report: Bechem Utd 1-1 AshantiGold - Miners steal rare point from Bechem

Champions AshantiGold stole a point from Bechem after holding the Brong Ahafo side to a 1-1 stalemate at the Gyeabbour Park on Wednesday afternoon.

The Miners stole the lead through Amos Adai in the early minutes of the first-half but the home side equalised through Hamza Mohammed late into the clash to manage a point.

Manuel Zaccarius's men were riding high after holding Kotoko to a scoreless draw at the Baba Yara during the weekend and were hoping to capitalise on their superior advantage over the under-performing champions to win.

But the home fans were stunned when AshantiGold took the lead through Adai and made the battle a difficult one for the host.

However just when AshantiGold thought they were close to their first ever victory in the Brong Ahafo region in over five seasons, Hamza pecked the scoring for the MTN FA Cup semi-finalists.
