Ghana Premier League - Match Report: Sekondi Hasaacas 0-1 Hearts of Oak - Cosmos Dauda's cheeky backheel steals the show in Essipong

Accra Hearts of Oak nicked a deserving 1-0 win over Sekondi Hasaacas in the Ghana Premier League at the Essipong Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Nigerian forward Cosmos Dauda scored with a Cristiano Ronaldo-style cheeky backheel on the 59th minute mark to arouse the Phobians and claimed a priceless win.

Portuguese tactician Sergio Traguil made a single change to his side as he introduced Leonard Tawiah to replace the injured Paul Acquah.

The exciting Patrick Razak laid ambush at Hasmal's backline, employing his electrifying pace before outsmarting his marker. He then sensibly supplied the ball to Dauda and the Nigerian applied a sweet backheel to open the scoring.

Hearts had to play at half bay early in the second-half after defending gallantly in the first-half with veteran forward Eric Bekoe aiming at Abdoulaye Soulama's net but he failed a number of times.

The Burkina Faso international produced a world class stop, diving agilely to stop the former Kotoko striker from grabbing the opener on 35 minutes.

Portuguese manager Sergio Traguil was forced to make alterations to his side before the resumption of the game at second-half as Thomas Abbey was forced off with injury and replaced mid-season signing Kassenu Ghandy. Striker Sam Yeboah was also introduced as replacement for Mustapha Essuman.

Patrick Razak unbelievably missed a great chance on the 57th minute but he turned a beautiful architect for Dauda as he rounded up two men and the striker connected with an eye-catching backheel.

Hasmal mounted attack late in the game with Samuel Afful going close but the form of Abdoulaye Soulama denied them.
