Ghana international John Boye believes playing in the Turkish second-tier league could affect his national team chances.

Boye, 29, is contracted to Sivasspor who were relegated from the Turkish top-flight last season.

The former Stade Rennes center-back feels he is better than the Turkish Lig 1 and has told the club he wants to leave.

A number of clubs have shown interest in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Ghana defender but nothing has been concrete yet.

Sivasspor manger Osman Ozkoylu has revealed the player wants to quit the club and he has charged the hierarchy at the club to sort out the defender's future immediately.
