Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan, is the highest paid African player plying his trade in the booming Chinese league.

Gyan, a boxing promoter and a part time musician was the highest paid player in the Chinese league until the arrival of Brazilian Hulk and Italian forward Graziano Pelle.

Gyan also drops to 7th in the world from his previous 4th position in the world following the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United.

Hulk will join Asamoah at Shanghai SIPG for the coming season, whiles Pelle would don the shirt of rivals Shangdong Luneng from Southampton.
