T his series is from the team at 99.7FM, tracking the latest moves in the summer transfer window. We call it the #JoySports Transfer Daily. Here, we summarize all the moves and rumours in a quick, easy to read format. The series started on July 4 and ends on August 31.

With the domestic football season long behind us, here's all you need to know about the summer transfer window...

When does the transfer window open?
The 2016 summer transfer window opened on Thursday, June 9 for Premier League clubs.

When does the transfer window close?
The 2016 summer transfer window will close on Wednesday, August 31 - two and a half weeks after the start of the 2016/17 Premier League season.

Do European leagues have different dates?
While France's Ligue 1 has the same transfer window dates as the Premier League, there are slight differences in Spain, Germany and Italy.

The summer transfer windows in La Liga, the Bundesliga and Serie A do not open until Friday, July 1.

However, like England and France, the transfer windows in the top flights in Spain, Germany and Italy all close on Wednesday, August 31.

So far, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed with Manchester United, Ilkay Gundogan has signed for Manchester City, Sadio Mane has joined Liverpool while Arsenal grabbed Swiss international Granit Xhaka....

MAN UNITED MAKE BIG POGBA MOVE
Manchester United will make a world record £100 million bid for Paul Pogba, with the club willing to offer wages of £300,000 a week. United manager Jose Mourinho has hinted the club will make 4 signings, and with 3 already sealed, all indications point to a move for the French star to return to Old Trafford.

CHELSEA TURN ATTENTION TO KOULIBALY
Chelsea have formalised their interest in Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly by making a bid worth a potential £34million.oulibaly has emerged as head coach Antonio Conte’s top defensive target after Chelsea were given little encouragement over their prospects of landing Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus.

MAN CITY EYE STONES
Manchester City are determined to add at least one centre-back this summer. Vincent Kompany will be ruled out for some time, and doubts remain as to whether Nicolas Otamendi and Eliaquim Mangala can cut it in the Premier League.

KRANEVITTER LOANED TO SEVILLA
Atletico Madrid have announced that defensive midfielder Matias Kranevitter will spend the 2016/17 season on loan at fellow La Liga club Sevilla subject to a medical.The Argentina international signed for Atleti in August 2015, before being immediately loaned back to River Plate and was assigned the number 8 shirt when he officially arrived in January 2016.

VALDES CONFIRMED AT BORO
World Cup winning goalkeeper Victor Valdes has signed a two-year contract with the newly promoted Middlesbrough after a torrid 18-month spell at Manchester United came to an end when he was released this summer.Head coach Aitor Karanka is ecstatic with his fifth signing of the summer and told the club's official website: "You can't imagine how delighted I am because it's not usual to bring players like him to recently promoted teams."I'm really pleased because he is really committed. All the the conversations we've had he knows why he is here and he is coming to add to what we have. He knows how strong this group is. It's a privilege for us to be able to bring a player like this to the club."

BARCA WANTS MASCHERANO STAY
Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano wants to stay at the club as extension negotiations get underway, according to technical secretary Robert Fernandez. "There are issues that still need to be sorted out," Fernandez said as Barca unveiled new signing Denis Suarez on Wednesday."We've been doing that with Rafinha, Sergio Busquets and Neymar, and now it's time to do the same with Mascherano. He has told us that he wants to stay here, and that's comforting to know."

ARSENAL LEAD MORATA CHASE

Chelsea fear they are losing ground to Arsenal in the battle for £65million Alvaro Morata.The Real Madrid striker, 23, is understood to be cooling on a move to Stamford Bridge because the Blues are without Champions League football next season.Real have activated a £23million buyback clause in Morata’s contract to re-sign him from Juventus. The ­Champions League holders have done so to ensure that they cash in if he moves this summer, rather than Juve.

MALAGA SIGN SANDRO RAMIREZ
Malaga have completed the signing of Sandro Ramirez from Barcelona on a three-year deal.The 20-year-old forward came through the youth ranks at the Nou Camp before breaking into the first team last season, making 32 appearances and scoring seven goals.

LIVERPOOL JOIN WIJNALDUM CHASE
Liverpool are set to battle it out with Tottenham to sign Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.The 25-year-old wants to leave Newcastle and stay in the Premier League after the Magpies were relegated last season, and is not short if admirers after being one of the few bright sparks in an otherwise woeful campaign at St James’ Park.Spurs have already enquired about signing the Netherlands international, but have baulked at the £25 million asking price and now the Reds are said to be planning a bid of their own.Wijnaldum’s teammate Moussa Sissoko has also been linked with Liverpool and is keen to seal a move away from Tyneside, with Borussia Dortmund also rumoured to be chasing the French midfielder.

LIVERPOOL SET TO OFFLOAD JORDAN IBE
Jordan Ibe is set to move to Bournemouth for £15million.The 20-year-old been given permission to hold talks with the south coast cub as Liverpool look to offload the youngster.Jurgen Klopp is said to be eager to get rid of the player after a disappointing season at Anfield.

SKRTEL SET FOR EXIT
Fenerbahce have confirmed they are in talks to sign Martin Skrtel from Liverpool .The defender has been at Anfield for eight years but has entered talks with the Turkish club ahead of a potential £5million move

SUNDERLAND LEAD SANTON CHASE
Inter Milan right-back Davide Santon has turned down Crystal Palace and will instead join Sunderland, according to Italian football writer Emanuele Giulianelli.The 25-year-old has apparently left the Nerazzurri’s pre-season training camp to finalise the move to the Stadium of Light, with personal terms said to be agreed and a fee of around £1.5 million set.Santon was formerly a fan’s favourite at the Black Cats’ arch rivals Newcastle during a three year stint at St James’ Park.

ANOTHER BIG NAME STRIKER LINKED WITH BORO
It was Robin Van Persie yesterday, and today it’s the turn of Valencia forward Alvaro Negredo to be linked with a move to Middlesbrough as they look to bring in a top quality striker ahead of the new season.

BALO ON THE MOVE?
Serie A new boys Crotone have made an approach to sign Mario Balotelli from Liverpool after Sampdoria were also linked to the Italy inteirnational this week. I made a phone call to agent Mino Raiola for Balotelli. Crotone are the ideal environment for young talent to grow and express themselves.We could be the right place to revive an incredible talent like that of Balotelli, who has unfortunately just experienced a couple of difficult seasons."

JONES JOINS FEYENOORD
Former Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones has signed a one-year deal with Feyenoord after training with the club during the summer. The former Australia international made just 25 appearances in a five year spell with the Reds, and has spent time at Bradford City and Dutch club NEC since leaving the club.
