T his series is from the team at 99.7FM, tracking the latest moves in the summer transfer window. We call it the #JoySports Transfer Daily. Here, we summarize all the moves and rumours in a quick, easy to read format. The series started on July 4 and ends on August 31.

With the domestic football season long behind us, here's all you need to know about the summer transfer window...

When does the transfer window open?
The 2016 summer transfer window opened on Thursday, June 9 for Premier League clubs.

When does the transfer window close?
The 2016 summer transfer window will close on Wednesday, August 31 - two and a half weeks after the start of the 2016/17 Premier League season.

Do European leagues have different dates?
While France's Ligue 1 has the same transfer window dates as the Premier League, there are slight differences in Spain, Germany and Italy.

The summer transfer windows in La Liga, the Bundesliga and Serie A do not open until Friday, July 1.

However, like England and France, the transfer windows in the top flights in Spain, Germany and Italy all close on Wednesday, August 31.

So far, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed with Manchester United, Ilkay Gundogan has signed for Manchester City, Sadio Mane has joined Liverpool while Arsenal grabbed Swiss international Granit Xhaka....

KRANEVITTER LOANED TO SEVILLA
Atletico Madrid have announced that defensive midfielder Matias Kranevitter will spend the 2016/17 season on loan at fellow La Liga club Sevilla subject to a medical.The Argentina international signed for Atleti in August 2015, before being immediately loaned back to River Plate and was assigned the number 8 shirt when he officially arrived in January 2016.

VALDES CONFIRMED AT BORO
World Cup winning goalkeeper Victor Valdes has signed a two-year contract with the newly promoted Middlesbrough after a torrid 18-month spell at Manchester United came to an end when he was released this summer.Head coach Aitor Karanka is ecstatic with his fifth signing of the summer and told the club's official website: "You can't imagine how delighted I am because it's not usual to bring players like him to recently promoted teams."I'm really pleased because he is really committed. All the the conversations we've had he knows why he is here and he is coming to add to what we have. He knows how strong this group is. BARCA WANTS MASCHERANO STAY
Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano wants to stay at the club as extension negotiations get underway, according to technical secretary Robert Fernandez. "There are issues that still need to be sorted out," Fernandez said as Barca unveiled new signing Denis Suarez on Wednesday."We've been doing that with Rafinha, Sergio Busquets and Neymar, and now it's time to do the same with Mascherano. He has told us that he wants to stay here, and that's comforting to know."

ARSENAL LEAD MORATA CHASE

Chelsea fear they are losing ground to Arsenal in the battle for £65million Alvaro Morata.The Real Madrid striker, 23, is understood to be cooling on a move to Stamford Bridge because the Blues are without Champions League football next season.Real have activated a £23million buyback clause in Morata’s contract to re-sign him from Juventus. MALAGA SIGN SANDRO RAMIREZ
Malaga have completed the signing of Sandro Ramirez from Barcelona on a three-year deal.The 20-year-old forward came through the youth ranks at the Nou Camp before breaking into the first team last season, making 32 appearances and scoring seven goals.

LIVERPOOL JOIN WIJNALDUM CHASE
Liverpool are set to battle it out with Tottenham to sign Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.The 25-year-old wants to leave Newcastle and stay in the Premier League after the Magpies were relegated last season, and is not short if admirers after being one of the few bright sparks in an otherwise woeful campaign at St James’ Park.Spurs have already enquired about signing the Netherlands international, but have baulked at the £25 million asking price and now the Reds are said to be planning a bid of their own.Wijnaldum’s teammate Moussa Sissoko has also been linked with Liverpool and is keen to seal a move away from Tyneside, with Borussia Dortmund also rumoured to be chasing the French midfielder.
