Modena, Cesena, two others scoop Ghanaian talents at Ghana Soccer Festival

The 2016 edition of the Ghana Soccer Festival held in Modena, Italy has seen massive improvement over last year's as four big clubs in Italy scooped for Ghanaian talents at the event.

Host city Modena as well as Cesena, Carpi and Empoli scooped for Ghanaian youth talents at the event.

The youth tournament organized by Ghana Sports Association had players from Morocco, Senegal, Ghana, Congo, Ivory Coast and Cameroon participating.

The Soccer Festival which ended on Sunday saw four Ghanaian youngsters picked by the clubs named earlier and will subsequently sign professional contracts with them soon.

Speaking to GHANAsoccernet.com on the achievement of the tournament, the Sports Director of Ghana Sports Association, organizers of the event, Augustus Brobbey Mensah lauded the talents for this year's event, thanking the Ghana FA for their support.

'This year's event has been an improvement over last year's. The talents spotted this year were just exceptional and I am not surprised four of the boys have had direct entry into these big clubs,' he said.

'I can only give you the names after when day start training with the clubs because we don't want the guys to know it until next two weeks,' he added.

The event is expected to continue next year in a grand style as many countries and clubs have expressed interest in taking part in the tourney.
