Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has hailed his side's signing of Ghanaian youth forward Kwame Thomas.

City announced the signing of the 20-year-old striker on Friday after he was released by Derby County.

Kwame became City's first signing of the summer window and manager Mowbray is thrilled with his capture.

"Kwame is an exciting young striker, who will add pace and power to our attacking options," the former Celtic manager told the club's official website.

"It's good to get the first signing of the summer over the line and I am looking forward to working with Kwame over the course of next season."

The budding striker, who spent last season on loan at Notts County and Blackpool, joins English-born Ghanaian goalkeeper Corey Addai who joined City from Arsenal.
