Austrian second-tier side FC Liefering has released Ghana defendeer Isaac Vorsah after the club failed to renew his contract.

The 27-year-old centre back left Red Bulls Salzburg for FC Liefering in the second-tier of the Austrian Football First League on a free transfer last year.

The ex-Asante Kotoko defender was among seven players including compatriot Raphael Dwamena, Alexander Joppich, Marco Hödl, Elvis Osmani, Benjamin Kaufmann and Sebastian Wachter who were shown the exit door.

Vorsah, who managed just four appearances for FC Liefering, has fully recovered after a 30-month injury layoff to play the back end of last season.

Vorsah has made 40 appearances for the Black Stars, scoring one goal. His last international outing was at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, where Ghana finished fourth after losing to Mali in the third place match.
