League Report Hearts hero Cosmos Dauda not getting bogged down by missed chances
JUN 28, 2016 LISTEN

Hearts of Oak striker Cosmos Dauda believes the team must be content with the win over Dreams FC, adding that the numerous chances created was a sign that the team is improving.

The hardworking forward scored his sixth goal of the campaign and his second at the Accra Sports Stadium to help Hearts beat Dreams FC on Sunday.

Hearts created a host of chances in the first half and could have won by a wider margin had they taken some of the glaring opportunities that came their way. But Dauda insists all that is important is the three points.

'It was a great game and what was important is that we came out with the three points,' he told facebook.com/accraheartsofoak.

'We are happy we created a lot of chances, it shows that there is improvement which means we are working very hard and it is a good thing for us.'

Dauda had a perfect opportunity to net the opener in the first half, but he blazed agonizingly wide after he was slid through by Patrick Razak.

The striker made amends in the second half with a calm finish and he admits he had to get the second chance right.

'It is all about psyche,' he stated. 'I had it wrong the first time but the second time I decided to position myself well so that I get it easy; and thankfully, it worked out good for me.'

Dauda concluded: 'We love the fans; they are our driving force and our motivation. We urge them to come more because they are the heart of the team and when they are there to support us we always want to give 120%. It is a great thing and pleasure seeing the fans once again here after the home ban.'
