C.K AKONNOUR WANTS MORE FROM HIS SIDE
“We came into the game to utilize our advantages and attack the weakness of Hearts of Oak because they appointed a new coach within four days to the match and he can’t make any huge difference because there was a level of unsettlement in the team and we wanted to use that to our advantage to win the match but unfortunately we couldn’t win the match. I wasn’t satisfied with the officiating and we were hugely disappointed with the officials because there were some little mistakes that happened during the match especially the goal scored against us was a foul but this shouldn’t be an excuse for us. We were satisfied with our performance in the first half and we tried to dominate the game in the second half but we were a bit slow in attack. We were not creative upfront and sharp as well when developing the attack but I am disappointed in some of my players because they didn’t leave up to expectation.”

BUT PREKO PLEASED WITH OUTCOME AFTER CIRCUMSTANCES
Our game plan was to come in and win the match after what we have been through with our former head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi . Things were not stable but we have managed to put things in order and we were very well determined to win the game and we thank God we were able to get the maximum three points. We are taking it game by game because in the first round anytime we play at home we find it difficult to win so getting the three points today is good for us and we hope to build on that and wait for the next match. We went into the match very strongly because we played very well at home but not always as I have insisted but it was very obvious that we were struggling in the second half but we were calm when we had the goal and we managed to get the three maximum points.

MICHAEL OSEI HAPPY WITH POINT
“Looking at Techiman City’s team, they are a very strong team so we knew it will be a difficult match but we were more determined to win but we unfortunately conceded that penalty in the first half. I liked the determination of my players because they had some chances to win in the second half but getting a point here is a good results for us. In the first fifteen minutes, City were more possessive than us but in the middle of the first half we came into the game. In the second half we lifted our game and had some chances to win the match but again, getting a point here is very important for us because they are a very good playing at home so we will go back to the drawing board and study our game and come back to win our next home match.”
