JUN 25, 2016 LISTEN

The former Al Hilal defender penned down a six-month loan deal from Asante Kotoko after completing his loan spell in Sudan.

The experienced defender was a member of the Black Stars B team which placed second in the 2014 CHAN tournament after losing on penalties to Libya in South Africa.

Ainooson spoke with www.dreamsfc.com after his unveiling at the club's secretariat on Thursday afternoon.

Dreamsfc.com: Welcome Abeiku, how does it feel to be a player of Dreams FC?

Ainooson: Thank you, I feel excited and honoured to be part of this great family and I think we're together to work to achieve one goal by staying in the league or being in the top four after the end of the season.

Dreamsfc.com: What is your impression so far about the club?

Ainooson: So far so good it's been a wonderful family. As I said earlier, everything is moving on very well especially at the training grounds the old and the new players are working very hard. The old players are helping the new players on-board to get their momentum, to get the rhythm right to help the club ahead of the commencement of the second round.

Dreamsfc.com: How is the feeling like working under one of the best young coaches in Ghana?

Ainooson: The feeling is very great working under a living legend, our national hero that's C.K Akonnor. He is a very good coach; I always enjoy his style of coaching. Gone are the days in Sekondi XI Wise, his appearance on the pitch made football very attractive so coming to Dreams FC to play under him I think is a blessing. I am here to learn a lot from him because he being a footballer before will help me move on as a player in my career.

Dreamsfc.com: Prior to joining Dreams FC, did you ever monitor the progress of the team?

Ainooson: I've been monitoring Dreams FC since Day1 in second division and every season they make progress. Also, I like the way the management come on-board to lift the club very high. I am very happy to see Dreams FC at this stage; they are making waves in the Ghana Premier League and I think it's very exciting to be in this family.

Dreamsfc.com: How eager are you to make your debut for Dreams FC?

Ainooson: I am very eager to make my debut for Dreams FC. I'm here because of football and am here to do my best to help the team move on in the second round of this campaign. I can't wait to wear the colours of this club to perform my duties as a player so I can't wait at all.

Dreamsfc.com: What has been your memorable moment so far playing in the Ghana Premier League?

Ainooson: My most memorable moment in the GPL is the 2013/2014 season when I was with Kotoko, winning the treble for Kumasi Asante Kotoko in my first season; the FA Cup, the League and the Super Cup. I think this is my most memorable moment in the GPL.

Dreamsfc.com: As an experienced player, what do you bring on-board this team?

Ainooson: As the saying goes; 'experience is the best teacher', am here to share my experience with the young ones and also learn from them because it's a learning process. What the young ones have that I don't have, I will learn from them and add to mine so we're all here to learn from each other to work as a team to help the club. If we win, we win as a team and if we lose, we lose as a team so am not here for any individual glory but am here to help the team progress.

Dreamsfc.com: Who is your role model?

Ainooson: Locally, when I was starting my career I looked up to Joe Hendricks- people were saying we look similar because of his style of play and mine but now I follow the footsteps of Sergio Ramos. I love his style, his passion for football on the pitch I think is super.

Dreamsfc.com: How far do you hope to take Dreams FC before the season ends?

Ainooson: I won't say it will be easier or difficult but I think much will be expected from me since am coming to serve a new club which is Dreams FC. It's a newly-promoted side in the Ghana Premier League and as we can all testify, if a new club is promoted to the topflight many things happen. If you're careful, you'll go to relegation but I think with my experience and that of some other guys on-board we need to help the team to say to achieve the dream. We are here to make an impact for the team to stay at the end of the season.

Dreamsfc.com: As a keen follower of the club, what are your thoughts on the achievements of the club so far?

Ainooson: So far what I've seen is not bad, a newly promoted side with their branding and the way they carry themselves on and off the pitch I think is very attractive. Dreams FC is making waves in Ghana football and people all over the world have got to know that there's a team in Ghana called Dreams FC. It's not easy to come this far and one thing I love about this club is the motto; 'STILL BELIEVE'. In life you need to believe in yourself and everything that you're doing and with hard work and God on your side you will achieve so I'm not surprised how far God has taken this club to.

Dreamsfc.com: Are you disappointed your parent club Kotoko loaned you to a relatively smaller side like Dreams FC after your spell abroad?

Ainooson: No, I'm not disappointed at all because in life whatever comes your way as a believer you need to take it in good faith. God works in mysterious ways and am one person who believes in God, whatever that happens in my life I compare with others so am never disappointed. Maybe, it's a blessing in disguise, who knows? Right now everything depends on me, I need to stay focus and do my best as I've always been doing. My father used to tell me I need to brighten the corner where I may find myself so am here to do my best and leave something behind before I depart. Good name, they say is better than riches so I will do my best for this club. Whether am in or not my name will forever be remembered.
