The board of the Porcupine Warriors has rendered an apology to their former coach for management decision to ask him to ‘step aside’.

Asante Kotoko officially parted ways with David Duncan on Wednesday, despite having been told to ‘step aside’ way back in April for his assistant Michael Osei to take charge of the club, after poor start to the Ghana Premier League.

The board of directors who were not happy with the decision management took to side line the former Hearts of Oak coach has apologised for the club’s action.

“We wish to inform you (David Duncan) that the press release was misconceived and hereby withdraw the press release. Any inconvenience caused to you is deeply regretted,” read the press release signed by the board chairman of Kotoko, Paul Adu-Gyamfi Esq.

Meanwhile the board in a letter has informed Opoku Nti that his term of office which comes to an end on 30th June won’t be renewed by the club.
