The youngest son of the Abedi Ayew Pele’s ‘soccer dynasty,’ Jordan Ayew has sent a congratulatory message to his brother Andre Ayew for winning the 2015 SWAG Sports Personality of the Year and the Footballer of the Year.

Jordan could not accompany his brother as planned because he was a little bit under the weather and needed to rest, but nonetheless the Aston Villa most promising star took to social media to send his brother a heartwarming message – “Congratulations for winning the SWAG Award, Andre Dede Morgan Remi Ayew,” Jordan wrote.

Andre, 26, screwed the award from Shanghai SIPG’s Asamoah Gyan due to his stellar performance in the second round of the 2014/2015 Ligue 1 season with Olympique Marseille and his mind-blowing exhibition with Welsh side, Swansea City in the 2015/2016 English Premier League season, which earned him the Player of the Month Award in August, 2015 as well as the club’s highest goal scorer (12).

The deputy captain of the Ghana Black Stars was introduced to the headline sponsor of the 2015 MTN-SWAG Awards (MTN Ghana) at the telecommunication giants head office (Ridge, Accra) which signifies a complete embodiment of environmental sustainability.

The seclin-born Ghanaian young looking but humongous footballer received certificates from the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).

A short press conference followed thereafter, where Andre, who captained the Ghana Black Satellites to win the 2009 African Youth Championship and culminated it with the FIFA U-20 World Cup trophy in Egypt answered questions from some sports journalists.

The 2015 top goal scorer at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) finally visited the various departments of MTN Ghana, where the staff had a photo opportunity with Andre Dede Morgan Ayew who will be earning a record fifth nations cup appearance in Gabon 2017.

Andre Ayew was crowned the BBC African Footballer of the Year in 2011 and came close to winning the CAF African Best Player Award in 2015 but lost it to Gabon and Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
