TP Mazembe midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei believes Medeama are a strong side despite suffering a 3-1 defeat to the Ravens in their CAF Confederation Cup opener on Sunday.
Adjei was named in the starting line-up as the DR Congo side rallied from a goal down to beat the Mauve and Yellows at home.
Malik Akowuah gave the visitors the lead after two minutes but Rainford Kalaba and Salif Coulibaly gave the hosts the lead before half-time.
Kalaba sealed the win with the third in the 70th.
Adjei, formerly of Asante Kotoko, says it was not a stroll-in-the-park win for the reigning African champions.
'I think Medeama played very well, they were good on the day. We knew they were going to give us a tough game,' he said in a post-match interview.
