Kwesi Appiah under whose tenure Sulley Muntari got expelled at the 2014 FIFA World Cup wants the groveling star to be forgiven.

Muntari wrote to the Ghana Football Association on Tuesday to apologize for his violent behaviour in Brazil where he attacked and beat up a then team official Moses Armah.

It has taken two years for the Al Ittihad Jeddah star to say sorry for his behaviour.

Public opinion is against Muntari to be recalled into the team as many have questioned the genuineness of his latest action.

Appiah, who now handles Sudanese side Al Khartoum, wants Muntari to be given another chance.

"Muntari does not forgive, but I believe he is now an adult or grown man and has learnt to forgive so if he has come out to apologise, I think he must be forgiven as well," Appiah Angel FM.
