MAY 27, 2016 LISTEN

Abdul Salam Yakubu , popularly known as 'Sabato' in football cycles has threatened that New Edubiase United will no long participate in the Ghana Premier League due to poor officiating.

The Edubiase lads suffered their fourth consecutive loss in the ongoing league when debutants Dreams FC handed them a shocking 0-1 defeat at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.

The officials of the hosts were not satisfied with the decisions of the centre referee Maxwell Hanson and his assistants and at a point in the game exhibited their frustration.

'I am pulling out of the league, because officiating is not good and if you don't have the financial power to influence the outcome of games you don't get good results.

'New Edubiase don't have the money to do all that so I will not continue playing in the league,' he told Happy FM.

New Edubiase United are currently occupying the bottom of the league ladder with 13 points, after match day 14 of the Ghana Premier League.
