41st MTN SWAG Awards fixed for June 4

Accra, May 26, GNA - The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), wishes to bring to the notice of the public that, the 41st MTN SWAG Awards, has now been fixed for Saturday, June 4, at the Banquet Hall, State House, Accra.

A statement from the secretariat said, the Association initially fixed Saturday, May 28, for the event, but had rescheduled it due to some organisational challenges.

According to the statement, the new date, Saturday, June 4, takes precedent over the original date, but noted that, the night would still be graced by His Excellency Jon Benjamin, British High Commissioner to Ghana and Mr Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, Minister of Youth and Sports.

The statement, also reminded all award winners to contact the secretariat on Friday, May 27, between 8am and 5pm for their invitation cards to the event.

It added that, award winners can also reach the secretariat on 0244679552/0268553341 for further enquiries.

The 41st MTN SWAG Awards, the longest running sports event in Ghana, would seek to confer honours on 26 sports men and women.

It would be sponsored by communication giants MTN Ghana, with support from Activa International Insurance, Ghana Free Zones Board, CDH Insurance, NLA, Stanbic Bank, Guinness Ghana Limited, Data Bank and Alisa Hotels.
