Chairman of National Peace Council Prof. Emmanuel Asante Mensah delighted with Vodafone Peace Cup initiative

Chairman of the National Peace Council, Prof. Emmanuel Asante Mensah has endorsed the Vodafone Peace Cup, insisting it is a great initiative that needs commendation.

As a Peace Ambassador in Ghana, former captain of the Black Stars Stephen Appiah, in collaboration with Primeval Media have organized the Vodafone Peace Cup which will be played on 8^th and 11^th of June this year.

After extending a formal invitation to the Chairman of the National Peace Council in his office in Accra on Tuesday, he applauded the initiative and pledged their support for the event.

'This is a great initiative and must be hailed. Peace is very important for the development of every country.

'Without Peace, we can't develop. We therefore need it to be able to undertake development ventures,' he said.

'As a result, we as the Peace Council accept your invitation and pledge to support the event.

'We must let Ghanaians understand that before, during and after elections, we are brothers,' he concluded.
