Referees association of Ghana are set to hold clear the air talks with the Ghana Football Association concerning recent crowd violence.

The Referees, who have been at the receiving end of recent assaults in the Division One League, have decided to meet the Ghana Football Association to discuss ways to eradicate hooliganism from the game.

Some of the referees have decided to boycott officiating matches in the division one but chairman of the Ghana Referees Association Joe Debrah believes boycotting will be their last resort.

“If we say we are going to like what many are agitating, then we should boycott but that would be our last resort when all avenues have closed,” he told Joy Sports.

“So at the moment, we want to meet the FA and talk to them.”

“But we the executive will meet first and take a decision and if the need be we would see the FA and talk to the FA and if nothing is done, then boycotting would be the last resort.”
