Exuberant Sports Minister, Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye says he will gunner for support for Medeama SC from cooperate bodies following their flamboyant qualification to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.
Medeama SC proved all odds wrong by scoring two unanswered goals against South Africa champions Mamelodi Sundowns at the Essipong Stadium on Wednesday.
The Ghanaian side had lost the first leg in South Africa by 3-1 compelling many to rule them out of qualification.
And the Sports Minister says he will personally solicit for support for them as they enter the group stage of the competition.
'That was a great performance from the team. They have made themselves and Ghana proud and we need to support them.
'I am ready to solicit for support from cooperate bodies for them to ensure they make Ghana proud at the group stage,' he said after the game.
